Market Roundup Report
Seven of the major sectors gained, with Technology leading the sectors. The market rally continues. The rally is actually more likely to gain momentum later this week as the next market-moving event this week will take place on Wednesday when the Fed Chairman hold a press conference to discuss the deliberation and decision on interest rates and possibly the consensus by the Fed governors at the usual two-day meeting starting tomorrow. The market analysts’ consensus ahead of the meeting is that there will be at least 25 basis points cut in the interest rate at that meeting. If there is nothing in the Fed Chairman’s speech that is negative, the market will surely rally on. Dow is back above 46,000 points today.
