The Toronto Market
The TSX Composite Index gained 29.30 points, or 0.10%, closing the session at 29,761.28. The index closed well off the session’s low.

Today’s Market Statistics: The issues that gained (Advancers) outnumbered those that declined (Decliners). There were roughly two Advancers for every Decliner, or a more exact ratio of 1.80-to-1.0. In real numbers, there were 1,352 Decliners to 561 Advancers while 187 stocks remained Unchanged.
Today, there were 203 new 52-Week Highs and 21 new 52-Week Lows. There were 99 new 52-Week Highs and 24 new 52-Week Lows on Thursday.
The total volume of shares traded at the TSX today was 461,843,967, or 10% lower than the volume of 468,860,346 shares traded on Thursday.

The US Markets
All three major indexes gained, terminating a run of three consecutive sessions of declines. Dow Industrial Average advanced 299.97 points or 0.65%, to close the session at 46,247.29. The S&P 500 index gained 38.98 points or 0.59% and closed the session at 6,643.70. The Nasdaq Composite gained 99.37 points or 0.44%, and closed the session at 22,484.07. Russell 2000 advanced robustly. The index gained 23.28 points or -0.97%, nearly reversing all of Thursday’s losses. Russell 2000 closed the session at 2434.32.

Today’s Market Statistics
At the NYSE, the issues that gained (Advancers) outnumbered the issues that declined (Decliners). There were roughly two Advancers for every Decliner, or a more exact ratio of 2.24-to-1.0. In actual numbers, there were 2,858 Advancers to 1,273 Decliners with 357 Unchanged.
Today, there were 205 new 52-Week Highs and 53 new 52-Week Lows. There were 110 new 52-Week Highs and 109 new 52-Week Lows yesterday. The market today was much more negative today compared to on Thursday.
The total volume of stocks traded today at the NYSE was 5,158,051,260, or 14% lower than the total volume of 5,956,200,493 shares traded on Thursday.
On the NASDAQ, the Advancers outnumbered the Decliners. There were eight Advancers for every five Decliners, or an exact ratio of 1.69-to-1.0. In actual numbers, there were 2,921 Advancers to 1,729 Decliners with 331 Unchanged.
Today, there were 126 new 52-Week Highs and 83 new 52-Week Lows. There were 93 new 52-Week Highs and 125 new 52-Week Lows on Thursday.
The total volume of shares traded at the NASDAQ today was 8,683,094,039, or 15% lower than the total volume of 10,264,808,600 shares traded on Thursday.
Market Roundup Report
The indexes reversed trend today. All indexes with Russell 2000, the small caps, index doing better than the 30-stock Dow Jones index. Volume was down 15% on the NASDAQ and down by 13% on the NYSE. The markets are back in the period when stock gain with lower volume and declines when volume is high. Gold and gold miner stocks’ prices have been consistent, slow but steady in their upward climb. A good advice to our readers and investors is “Do not ignore gold miner stocks” but keep in mind though, that that nothing goes up forever. Oil Price: U.S. crude oil futures fell slightly today as OPEC is likely to increase output next month in effort to gain market share. The US Oil price is at $65.24 per barrel, as of the time (11:30 pm ET, Sunday) of this post update.
10 –year Treasury Yield: The 10-year Treasury yield was higher, rising a few basis points. The 10-year yield is at 4.16%, as of the time (11:30 pm ET, Sunday) of this post update.
Gold and Silver prices rose slightly Sunday evening. Gold price was at up 0.40% at $3,825.20 while Silver was up 0.99% to $47.12 per ounce as of the time of this post update.
Bitcoin (BTC-USD) is at $111,872.20, up $1,565.87 or 1.41% as of the time (11:30 pm ET, Sunday) of this post update.

Stock Futures are up slightly Sunday evening. Dow Futures is up 121.00 points or 0.26% vs. fair value. S&P 500 futures is up 19.25 points or 0.28% at 6715.50 and Nasdaq 100 futures is up 86.25 points or 0.35% as of the time (11:30 pm ET, Sunday) of this post update.
