Market Roundup Report

Today the Toronto market was quite buoyant. The market tried to make up for yesterday’s holiday break. Investors flock to gold and consequentially, gold miner stocks, as they perceive uncertainty with the economy. The Job report on Friday created doubts about the economy. The job report raised red flags that the economy is softening. Investors reacted to the relatively bad news by fleeing in droves towards gold on Friday and today. Pretty well, most if not all of the gold miner stocks listed on the TSX gained today. That trend is not new but it is becoming the pattern that anytime President comes down with arbitrary and gargantuan tariff impositions, investors see potential problem with the Treasury yield and they move the funds in to gold and gold miner stocks
