Market Roundup Report:   All the major indexes gained today. Both S&P 500 and NASDAQ were up higher 2% today. Dow closed up slightly above 1%. Unlike yesterday, the market gains today came with volumes of shares traded quite reduced compared to yesterday. The rally remains very much alive and the market outlook has changed to being upbeat, however, the risk resulting from Trump’s tariffs remains. Market indexes have been making massive jumps or declines in response to tariff announcements. Jumps of 12% up and a reverse decline of 11% happened last week.

The market outlook is upbeat, but just as the market can jump 12%, it could also decline 12% in response to  Trump tariff announcements. Investors need to be careful with exposures until the tariff announcements become better structured. The risk of being wiped out, if caught on the wrong side of a tariff announcement, remains real indeed, especially with growth stocks.
